Mosaic Ministries is the ServeFest 2016 downtown sight for Spokane churches wanting to serve our city this spring. This annual event is supported by both City Hall and area churches.
Here’s how it works.
We’ll be gathering at Mosaic Community Bike Shop (611 W. Second Ave.) at 9:00 a.m. this Saturday to form teams, get assignments and head to local parking lots and buildings where we will be cleaning up graffiti, sweeping parking lots and beautifying alleys.
Whether you can stay for all 3 hours or just volunteer 1 hour, we’d love to have your help! Please go to the website sign-up at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090F49ADAA2EA64-servefest or visit our www.mosaicspokane.com site and find the link. It’s not required but we’d like to get an estimate as to the number of people we’ll have working so we can be sure to have enough tools and refreshments.
What YOU can bring: other friends & volunteers, shop brooms, rakes, garbage cans, gloves, muscles, snacks, sense of humor, smiles.
What WE will provide: bottled water, rubber gloves, trash bags, paint, rollers, brushes, etc.
Come enjoy the sunshine, the people and the gift of giving to our city. This is one of those ways that we as churches, who are exempt from property taxes that most businesses pay to our city, can give back to our community. And even as we’ve been setting up places to help in our neighborhood (like Diamond Parking and Modern Theater), it’s amazing how grateful they are for our assistance.
Thanks for making church about a whole lot more than just Sunday mornings!
See you in the warm Saturday sunshine!
