With the weekend right around the corner, I wanted to remind you of a couple of special events that are available in the coming days (and weeks). 

The Anvil…or at least The Forge:  This Friday, February 28^th, our Men’s Ministry will be hosting a movie night starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.  The Forge, is a moving, thought-provoking movie on the importance of men as mentors and dads in younger (and even older) men’s lives.  Come enjoy popcorn, drinks and conversation around how we can help each other build men’s lives in Christ.

This Saturday our Young Adults will be gathering at Jordan and Naomi Taylor’s house for a stimulating time of food, fellowship and fun.  Come prepared to talk about some of the people who have been important spiritual influences in your life and why. 

Ashes:  Next Wednesday, March 5^th, is Ash Wednesday.  This day marks the beginning on the Christian Church calendar of Lent—the 6½ weeks leading up to Easter.  Come join our midweek prayer service at 7:00 p.m. as we unpack the meaning of Ash Wednesday and engage with God through worship, contrition, confession and prayer.  Prepare your hearts this season for renewal that God wants to bring to us as we enter into this time of heart-preparation for the resurrection work of Jesus. 

Finally, don’t forget that in two Sundays, March 9^th, we’ll be back to Daylight Savings Time.  We’ll “lose” an hour that weekend but gain those wonderfully longer daylight evenings.
