Pastor's Weekly Update

CHANGES, CHANGES!!!

Posted by John Repsold on

If you were with us Sunday, you heard that we will be moving to our summer schedule of one service from 10:00-11:15 a.m. this Sunday, July 2nd.  We will keep this schedule through the end of August.  We’ll be enjoying time connecting with God and each other as we continue to work through 1st Samuel 12-15 (if you want to read ahead) and learn some lessons from a lame-duck king.

A big “THANK YOU” to our Adult Education teachers (John Moody, Jarrod Carter, Andrew Repsold and Tyler Nelson) who just finished up 10 weeks of great classes.  We’ll be launching some new ones come fall so get your pencils sharpened and minds ready this summer.

Regarding last Sunday’s parking tickets some of you may have received in the Bike Shop lot, please just turn them in to the Mosaic front desk and Diamond Parking will forgive them.  Sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this may have caused you this week.

PRAYER NEEDS

  • Tonight the Spokane Public School Board will be accepting public comment at 7:00 p.m. on the newly proposed Planned Parenthood material for the entire district. Please pray that God’s truth and grace will reign and that we, His people, will speak with truth and grace.  And please come to either just show support for other alternatives or speak up publically about the issue.
  • The City of Spokane is working on a determination of our property tax exemption and refund request that could return up to $14,000 to us as a church! Please pray that their determination will be favorable and timely.
  • We continue to face challenges with the completion of our basement. Please pray that we will be able to wrap this project up in the next two weeks as we will be having an appreciation luncheon for all our contractors, mortgage holders, suppliers and public officials who have helped us get to this point.  Please pray that they will also catch the vision for what we are doing and desire to support the various works at the Mosaic Center.

That’s all for now.  Stay tuned for some fun summer developments in the days ahead.

Pastor John
