Pastor's Weekly Update

Family Fellowship

Posted by John Repsold on

One of the things I love about my family is the times we get to share together at dinners, birthdays, vacations and, yes, church.  When people are special to you, even ordinary events hold warm blessings.  It’s just good to be together.  You never know when you are going to experience a conversation or see something that will fill your soul.

That’s how I feel about the ‘family gatherings’ we get to do as a spiritual family at Mosaic.  This weekend holds several “ordinary events” that have the potential to fill our souls.

  • Men’s Round-table Breakfast, Saturday @ 8:00 a.m. This month, our brother Andrew Porter will be leading our discussion on managing distractions to God’s calling in our lives…in between swigs of coffee and bites of bacon, flapjacks, fruit and breakfast casserole.  We’ve also got some great news about our Spring Men’s Retreat happening again at Riverview May 3-4.  Brothers, see you at this men’s morning out!
  • Changing Lives, Saturday @ 5:00 p.m. If you want to see genuine honesty and humility, this service will fill your soul.  Every Saturday 50-80 sincere saints and seekers come together for our weekly recovery service led by Pastor Bob and his team.  Be blessed as you come and experience what God is doing to share His heart with our community on Saturday nights.
  • January Fellowship Luncheon THIS Sunday, right after second service (11:45 a.m.). In this new year, we could really use some additional help making these monthly family meals a blessing to all.  If you would like to join the team helping out with cooking, set-up or clean-up over the next few fellowship meals, please let Pastor Jesse know ( ).  Just as with all family gatherings, the meal itself is merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to fun and fellowship.
  • Intergenerational Life Group: if you are with us this Sunday, you’ll be introduced to a new life group starting in February designed to be both family-&-single as well as child/youth-&-adult engaging.  Todd & Roxy Fonda along with Sandy & I will be launching this group designed to help people of all generations experience the power of God’s Word together in a fun, fellowship and food-rich environment Sundays from noon-to-2:00 p.m. after the second service.  Stay tuned for more info.

See you at the family gatherings!
