As we move into the first week of spring, there are several light-filled experiences coming up this week that I’d love to have as many of us as possible experience.
- TODAY (Friday, March 22) Mosaic hosts our city-wide 12-hours of Revival Prayer. Come and join us for any or all of this God-experiencing time of prayer from noon to midnight. The twelve hours is broken up into 1-1½ -hour sessions of worship, revival stories, biblical truth and, most of all, prayer. Teams from different Spokane churches lead the different hours with great passion and diversity. If you want to see nothing short of full-scale transformational spiritual revival at Mosaic, in your own life and in our community, don’t miss this experience… TODAY.
- SUNDAY (March 24) we will be experiencing God’s presence in worship and the Word together. This Sunday’s teaching, Spiritual Farming 101, comes out of Mark 4:1-20 and will hopefully equip all of us to both receive God’s Word in the most fruitful way possible as well as spread it more effectively to others. We’ll also be seeing a short video from Tom & Inga’s THS Daniel Project in Paraguay coming this summer. Who knows, God may have a very special summer planned for you this year…in Paraguay!
- Following the 2nd Service (at 11:45 a.m.) we will have our monthly Fellowship Luncheon. As if time with our spiritual family wasn’t enough of a draw, we’ll be enjoying smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, special green beans and dessert.
- I was recently made aware of a very timely talk next Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 7 PM at Hutton Elementary School on the South Hill. Leading local Catholic Christian, plastic surgeon and personal friend of mine, Dr. Al Oliva, will be presenting a talk on “What you should know about transgender medicine and surgery.” The sponsor is INW Free Speech, a group committed “to bringing respectful diverse views and discussion back to the culture.” This will be an evidence-based discussion presenting only peer-reviewed articles on the treatment of gender dysphoric youths in the US and Europe, something that is sadly missing from most discussions about this alarming topic in our culture.
- Lastly, if you are longing for more of God’s presence and work in your life, I can think of no more important event to be a part of than our WEDNESDAY mid-week Prayer Service each week. Take an hour in your week, from 7:00-8:00 p.m., to meet with God together with others passionate about having God mold and shape our lives and hearts.
Enjoying the Maker of spring,
Pastor John
