No, I’m not Gollum in Lord of the Rings but I do have a riddle for you today: What’s common to all of us yet different for each, moment by moment yet takes a lifetime, anxiety-provoking yet peace-developing, God-pleasing while character-developing? 

The Apostle Paul tells us in First Corinthians 13 that while various spiritual gifts may come and go, “faith, hope, and love” remain in our walk with Christ.  Having spent the last few weeks drinking at the refreshing spring of the Great Commandment (love), we’re moving on the next few weeks to the Great Challenge (faith). We’ll be studying just how faith plays into living out the Great Commandment to love God with all our being and people as ourselves. 

This new mini-series called “Faith Journeys” will hopefully help us all to see how both the challenges and triumphs of life can work together to create very unique and God-honoring life journeys for each of us.

MEN’S CONNECTION THIS SATURDAY, Feb. 9^th, @ 8AM—This Saturday we’ll be revisiting a topic about which we just scratched the surface a couple of months ago.  We’ll be hearing from a few more of our “young dudes” (as John Serben likes to call them) as they address challenges facing them today and the kinds of relational connections they appreciate with other men.  MEN, don’t miss this great time of food, connection, laughter and growth.

MEKONG MINISTRY PRAYER SKYPING—Yes, it is possible to pray while Skyping.  We do it every Tuesday afternoon from 5:00-6:00 with Mark Massingale in Cambodia.  If you want to be a direct encouragement to Mark and an integral part of the Mekong Ministry, come join us in the Mosaic Office at 5pm any Tuesday. 

NEW MARRIAGE SERIES STARTING THIS SUNDAY—If you like building into your marriage and would like to do that while laughing, then this new group is for you.  “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage” is a video-based series that we’ll be hosting at our home every-other Sunday night starting this Sunday at 6:00pm.  Just bring your favorite finger food, your spouse and your sense of humor.  We’ll see what God does to make our marriages even better pictures of His relationship with us in the days ahead.  Address:  3205 E.
