Pastor's Weekly Update

Summer Changes (& Changed Lives)

Posted by John Repsold on

Hello Everyone!

As I write this, dozens of people from five different church recovery ministries in the Inland Northwest are heading to Farragut State Park in beautiful North Idaho for a life-changing weekend of fellowship, worship, testimonies and teaching.  Our own Changing Lives group will be there and leading in much of that wonderful experience.  So please pray for all of them about the following:

  • That any there who have not encountered Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior yet will do so this weekend.
  • That the Holy Spirit will move powerfully to encourage, renew, revive, refresh and restore every person there.
  • That hours of great fellowship, fun, rest, health and safety will be had by all.

Our second BIG CHANGE this weekend concerns our Mosaic Worship schedule.  We’ll be going to one service starting this Sunday, July 1.  Both current services will be combined into one worship experience starting at 10:00 a.m.  (We’ll have the same great coffee, fellowship, praise, worship, teaching, giving and growth as always.)

Regarding parking this weekend, it is one of the two Sundays of the year we don’t have use of the north lot (Bike Shop lot) as it is Hoopfest weekend.  While Hoopfest won’t interfere directly with our service, if our Mosaic lot is full, you’ll need to look for free Sunday on-street parking nearby or pay for parking in one of the paid lots around us.

This Sunday also starts my own 2- month long “preaching sabbatical”—an opportunity for me to be personally refreshed sitting under the teaching of nine of our own great teacher-preachers in our Mosaic family.  I’m personally really looking forward to how this is going to renew my spirit as I get to sit with you in the congregation, worship, minister to our children occasionally and generally experience our life together from a different vantage point—yours.  While Sandy & I plan to not miss a single Sunday over the summer we also plan to experience God’s reviving work through being just “one of the family” during July-August.  Thank you all for this gracious gift!

Finally, if you missed out on the Changing Lives campout this weekend and still want to “go camping” with your Mosaic family this summer, please sign-up for our all-church campout at Ft. Spokane Campground on Lake Roosevelt August 23-25 (3 days, 2 nights).  Go to https://churchteams.com/m/Login.asp?oID=10293&secID=Sy82aXF6bEFhVjVPRklpNExVZ3ZtWGRkTHdMTUUxbkk%3D&page=Register.asp?GroupID=341402~sgr=y for more information and registration.

Praying for life-change,

Pastor John
