Some days are more consequential than others.  This Saturday and Sunday are two of those days.

Tomorrow, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., we’ll be hosting our downtown neighborhood in our parking lot.  PRAISE IN THE PARKING LOT is our opportunity as a church family to share a meal with our neighbors and let them hear our hearts right in our own ‘back yard.’  Throughout these two hours there will be live music, testimonies and short challenges to respond to the Gospel of Jesus. 

Come be a warm host tomorrow by doing anything from handing out food to lending a listening ear.  In the process, you’ll get to see what God can do when we practice a little hospitality in our own neighborhood.

On Sunday we are back to two services for our summer schedule—8:30 & 10:00 a.m.  At both services we’ll bring home what we’ve been talking about for three weeks with our focus on world missions.  Having heard from those among us who have already said to God, “Here am I, send me,” we’ll be looking at what God is saying to those of us who will not be moving to some far-flung corner of the world in the next few years.  How do we get to make obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) practical and powerful in our own lives?  Come prepared to grow in your faith as you take new steps of faith.  We’ll also be celebrating the baptism of some of our brothers and sisters at the ten o’clock service.
