Pastor John Piper says that “Missions exists because worship doesn’t.”  What he means is that, were people everywhere in the world worshiping God, we wouldn’t need to talk about “the mission of the church” or do “missions.” Both of those are all about reaching lost sinners with the Good News of life through faith in Christ Jesus. 

But the other side of the coin is that where Christ-followers live, worship should be continual.  Worship is one of the central things we will be doing forever in heaven.  It is one of the main reasons we were created.  And as such, it is one of the most important experiences we can have on earth. 

But so few Christians seem to really value worship.  Even fewer seem to truly understand what it is. 

That’s one reason we do ABIDE the last Wednesday of each month from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Mosaic.   

So rather than...

• watching another mind-numbing movie or TV program, come WORSHIP.
• sitting at home alone, come WORSHIP.
• spending an evening doing whatever it is you may find to do

...come do something that will change your heart, feed your soul and open you up to a fresh experience with God—come and WORSHIP!
